                MISSION:

Help Protect the freedom of the "United States of America,  against

designated enemy High Altitude Bombers.

 

The NIKE HERCULES missile is launched toward the skies loaded with a 600 pound fragmentation bomb where it will intercept and destroy an enemy target. One of its unique capabilities  is that was capable of intercepting in surface-to-air and surface-to-surface-mode with conventional high explosive and nuclear  capability.
