EDITORIALLY SPEAKING In September 2000, Mary my wife took a few days vacation in Branson, Missouri of which we enjoyed very much. Quickly recognizing this would a great place to have a reunion, Branson had all the ingredients for a first time Reunion. My wife asked me, fine, but with what unit (military) would be selected for the Reunion because I had served in many different units with most being within the realm of Army Air Defense and from the Air Defense Battery to Command Headquarters, plus six assignments to Fort Bliss and in Italy, Germany, A Battery 3/71 as its Launcher warrant, Korea, Saint Louis Defense, Detroit Air Defense Command, New England Air Defense Command. Which one, with so many to choose from. I had waited so long for someone to organize and cause it to happen, by now I had been retired for 16 years, not a long time left to have a Reunion that my wife and I could spend with old friends a few days together. I left more blood A/ 3 71 than all the otherssignments
